Capacity Building Training Programme
A micro-teaching session was held on Wednesday April 16th, 2025 at the Southern Agricultural District Extension Office for Extension Officers currently enrolled in the Capacity Building Training Programme under the Youth in Agriculture Project.
This initiative is funded by the CARICOM Development Fund and the Government of Grenada.
The purpose of the session was to evaluate the trainees’ preparedness ahead of their final assessment for certification. Each participant was given the opportunity to independently plan and deliver a presentation on a topic they felt confident in.
These presentations were both engaging and participatory, and allowed trainees to showcase their ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the programme.
Assessments were conducted by peers and trainers from the National Training Agency - Grenada who observed that the trainees demonstrated a clear understanding of the course content and were able to effectively deliver and communicate key concepts.
Upon completion of the programme, the Ministry of Agriculture will benefit from a cadre of CVQ Level 3 certified instructors, equipped to lead training sessions and facilitate future educational initiatives within the sector.
