Promoting Safe Pesticide Use!
The Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Forestry, Marine Resources and Cooperatives, has once again collaborated with the National Chronic Non Communicable Disease Commission (NCDC), to educate farmers on the safe use of pesticides, as part of efforts to help them to understand and help them to take proactive steps to reduce the likelihood or impact of potential threats or problems, associated with improper pesticide use.
The activity is the third in a series of activities, geared at encouraging better pesticide use.
Todayโs session featured presentations from:
Jasmine Palmer- a student from Canada
, who has been assisting with the Public Health- on her findings on pesticide use in Grenada.
Dr. Jane Noel-Chair of the National Chronic Non Communicable Disease Commission (NCDC).

Sherene Street and Kita Mc Bernie- Herbal Consultants
Also, in attendance today, were 4Hers and staff from various departments of the Ministry.
A special thank you to the team from the Grand Bras Medical Station, that also conducted basic checks and advice to our farmers!
