The “Young Entrepreneurs, Farmers and Fishers in Agriculture and Agribusiness Project,” implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Forestry, Marine Resources and Cooperatives, is being funded by the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) and is providing opportunities for young people.

Christopher Mc Nair-Programme Specialist at the CDF says the project aligns with the regional 25 by 25 strategy. While there has been a reduction in youth interested in agriculture- the programme, identifies, train and supports young farmers.
