Debeakers provided to the four agricultural district offices
The Veterinary and Livestock Division of the Ministry of Agriculture has provided debeakers to the four agricultural district offices to help support poultry farmers and promote sustainable, efficient egg production.
Debeakers are essential in poultry production to prevent cannibalism, as they are used to trim the tips of a bird’s beak. This reduces the risk of aggressive behaviours, such as pecking and injuring other birds, which can lead to poor health and reduced productivity.
By using debeakers, farmers can maintain a healthier flock, improve overall well being, and ensure more sustainable egg production.
