Grenada’s biodiversity is being threatened by unsustainable agricultural practices and encroachment from human settlements, resulting in habitat loss and fragmentation, over-exploitation of biological resources, and pollution.

This census provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of Grenada’s agricultural sector since 2012. It was conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, and Forestry (Ministry of Agriculture), in close collaboration with the Central Statistics Office (CSO), to strengthen the agricultural information base and support evidence-based planning and policy for the transformation of the sector.
