ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, MONDAY, JUNE 8TH, 2018 –GIS: Reports from New York say Grenada has been stealing the show at the Caribbean Week organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation.

Grenada has featured prominently in several areas and was listed among the five top performing destinations in the Caribbean for 2017 after registering growth in the main areas of the Tourism Industry.

On Thursday night Pure Grenada was nominated in 7 categories at the CTO Media Awards for writer work done in 2017 in the USA for the Caribbean Tourism Industry.

Jesse Serwer won in his category for his authentic story about Grand Anse Beach.

Tourism Minister Claris Modeste has been quoted as saying that the seven nominations meant that Grenada was repeatedly mentioned, and Grenadian scenery was frequently on the big screen.

Also representing Grenada at Caribbean Week in New York are GTA's CEO Ms. Patricia Maher and  Ms. Christine Noel-Horsford.

Delegates at the event have also been hearing that Grenada is still being named as the best example of recovery from a hurricane after Ivan battered the island in 2004.
