Prime Minister Participates In Regional Engagements: Minister Bowen to Act

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, 20th July, 2016 –GIS:   Prime Minister Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, has left the Island for a number of regional engagements in Antigua and St. Kitts.

On Thursday, July 21st, Prime Minister Mitchell will join his colleague OECS Heads and other regional parliamentarians in Antigua, as they participate in the Second Sitting of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States General Assembly.

Prime Minister’s delegation to the Assembly include four parliamentarians: Honourable Clarice Modeste, Honourable Emmalin Pierre, Honourable Tobias Clement and Opposition Senator, Honourable Franka Bernadine.

On Friday, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance will join his colleague Finance Ministers at the 85th Meeting of the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, also taking place in Antigua.

On Saturday, July 23rd, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell will be in St. Kitts, facilitating a retreat of the Cabinet of Ministers of St. Kitts, as per the invitation of St. Kitts Prime Minister, Dr. Tim Harris. 

Prime Minister Mitchell returns to Grenada on Sunday, July 24th.

In the absence of Dr. Mitchell, Honourable Gregory Bowen is the Acting Prime Minister.
