Grenadians encouraged to participate in National Cleanup Campaign - This weekend

ST GEORGE'S, GRENADA, AUGUST 17, 2016, GOVERNMENT INFORMATION SERVICE (GIS): - The Ministry of Health and National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) are inviting all Grenadians and visitors alike, to be a part of the biggest ever national clean-up campaign to take place in Grenada on Saturday Aug 20th and Sunday Aug 21stfrom 6am.

Individuals are kindly asked to come out in their numbers and help clean up their community and surroundings to prevent the breeding of the deadly Aedes aegypti mosquito.

“Let’s stop Dengue. Let’s stop Zika and other mosquito related diseases.…. We’re all in this together” is the tagline.

Health officials and stakeholders are also encouraging individuals to bring their rakes, shovels, wheel borrows, spades, everything and “lets’ go cleaning” on the both days.

Interested persons should contact their district disaster coordinator or the Ministry of Health.
