ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, JULY 9, 2015 – GIS: Prime Minister Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell was on Thursday, July 9th, participating in the Toronto Global Forum in Canada, addressing a diverse audience that includes Heads of State and other policy makers, International Developmental agencies, private sector and Non-governmental organizations.

Prime Minister Mitchell was invited to speak on a panel, under the theme “Pan-American Perspectives: Towards a Shared Vision for the Caribbean.”

The Grenadian leader was expected to discuss issues such as ICT, Climate Change, and Energy reform, which he viewed as “inherent to the development of the Caribbean and its future role within the Americas in today’s changing, global economic landscape.”

The Toronto Global Forum is hosted by the International Economic Forum of the Americas, an international organization founded in 1995, with the mission of promoting exchange and open dialogue on the major economic issues of our time.

The forum was organized in collaboration with the City of Toronto, the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada, and programmed to coincide with the Opening Ceremony of the 17th edition of the Pan-American Games on July 10th, to which Prime Minister Mitchell also received a special invitation.

Prime Minister Mitchell has also been invited to a private meeting on July 10th with Prime Minister the Right Honourable Stephen Harper of Canada.
