Grenada’s Tourism Minister visits the sister isle of Carriacou

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, January 22, 2015 – GIS: New Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Hon. Yolande Bain-Horsford was, on Thursday, embarking on her first visit to Carriacou, since her appointment.

Minister Bain-Horsford was scheduled to meet with Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique, Hon. Elvin Nimrod, and Permanent Secretary, Bernadette Lendore-Sylvester to discuss tourism plans in place for Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

On Friday, the Tourism Minister and a delegation from the Grenada Tourism Authority are due to visit a number of historical landmarks including the Belair Sugar Mill, Ningo Well and the Hillsborough Botanical Garden.

An interview has also been planned with Carriacou’s media corps.

Minister Bain-Horsford is expected to return to mainland Grenada on Friday, January 23, 2015.
