ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Monday, January 12, 2015: The Committee of Social Partners (CSP) will tomorrow, Tuesday January 13th, 2015, sign a Social Compact, at the Ministry of Works Conference Room at 11:00 am.

The Social Compact has been jointly developed by CSP, under the guidance of Dr. Andre Vincent Henry, a noted Caribbean consultant.

The Social Compact is the formal document that will guide the working relationship of the social partners over the next few years and act as the strategic mechanism for the formulation and implementation of national policies and for ensuring nation-wide problem solving on various issues.

The CSP was formed in March 2013 to ensure a more inclusive approach to governance. The CSP is made of representatives from the Grenada Private Sector Organisations; the Conference of Churches in Grenada; the Grenada Trades Union Council; the Civil Society Organisations of Grenada; the Grenada Council of Evangelical Churches and the Government of Grenada.

The CSP is chaired by Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell and meets on a monthly basis.
