Non Compliant Liquor dealers encouraged to pay outstanding Licence Fees by Year End

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Wednesday, December 09, 2015: The Inland Revenue Division (IRD), of the Ministry of Finance, is concerned about the number of Liquor Dealers who are not paying their licences fees.

An investigation carried out by the IRD into the compliance of these dealers revealed that over a seven year period (2007-2015), 67% of Liquor Dealers within one mile of the town of St. George, and 76% beyond the one mile radius, failed to pay their Liquor Licence.

There are approximately two thousand, three hundred and nine (2309) registered Liquor Dealers in the country.

The IRD hereby notifies Liquor dealers who are not in compliance that they should rectify their status and bring their licence payments up to date no later than December 31st, 2015.

The IRD will be working closely with the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) to take appropriate actions against Liquor dealers who fail to comply by year end.
