ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, April 17, 2015 – GIS: Tickets for next week's test match between West Indies and England are going like hot bread and butter.

That’s according to officials at the local ticketing office.

Tickets went on sale from March 30 at a special office at the National Cricket Stadium.

Officials say they are being purchased at a rate of about 200 tickets per day.

Member of the ticketing committee, Royden Beharry, is excited at the pace of sales and believes it reflects major support from locals.

He says “it’s amazing to see the amount of support and ticket sales that is taking place right here in Grenada”.

According to Beharry tickets sale has been excellent and they are in the process of redeeming more from the cricket board.

“We have gotten to the point where ticket sales are actually running out and we are now calling on the West Indies cricket board for even more tickets”.

Beharry says “the rate of ticket sales are encouraging signs that come April 21-25 we are going to have a fabulous time right here in Grenada at the national stadium”.

Ticket laison Carl Felix says “eleven thousand tickets have been printed so far so we anticipate a reasonable crowd” at the stadium for the game.
