Beausejour, Carriacou, May 13th, 2014- The Princess Royal Hospital, which serves the islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, is seeking to offer new and improved healthcare services to the populace of the twin-isle parish.

Hospital Administrator Norland Cox said the institution, in collaboration with a group of nationals living at home and in the Diaspora, is pursuing a number of initiatives, including providing radiology for patients.

He also disclosed that an X-Ray machine is being sourced out of the United States, with the assistance of Grenadian diplomat Derek James.

The Princess Royal Hospital was recently the beneficiary of a brand new washing machine and dryer that were donated through the efforts of two returning nationals, Frederick Phillip and David Alexander.

Phillip, speaking on behalf of the donors, said that having admired the work being done by Cox, they thought it fitting to make a contribution towards the uplifting of the health facility.

Funds raised by Phillip and Alexander will also be used to purchase a baby scale and other hospital equipment.

Cox expressed appreciation to Phillip and Alexander for their gesture of support for Princess Royal Hospital.
