ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, March 18, 2014 - GIS: The care of our nation’s children is the uppermost priority for the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development.

In wake of recent reports from the Grand Anse R. C. School, the Ministry has embarked upon a series of external and internal administrative and pastoral actions.

Collaborative efforts with the Royal Grenada Police, the Child Protection Authority, the Ministry of Social Development and the Catholic Education Board of Management will continue to ensure the security and safety of the students and teachers of Grand Anse R.C and all other schools.

The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development would like to make it clear that there is a Zero Tolerance Policy for matters of this nature and, as such, has invoked Clause 132 (Amended) of the Education Act, 2002 as stated under the Laws of Grenada.

The Ministry would also like to reassure the public of the high priority being placed on child safety and the care of all students.
