“Ah Tell Yuh” Book Launch

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, March 12, 2014 – GIS:
The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, in collaboration with the Diaspora Consultative Committee (DCC) UK, is pleased to announce the launch of “Ah Tell Yuh,” an anthology of poems and short stories written by Grenadian students.

The launch will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Education and will feature the distribution of books to the published authors (students) and an excerpt reading of a winning piece.

The published works were selected from the Annual Student Stories & Poetry Challenge, a competition which aims to create sustainable participation in the literacy culture amongst primary and secondary school students of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Minister of Education, Honourable Anthony Boatswain; Ms. Sally-Ann Richards, Chair of the Education and Skills Group of the Diaspora Consultative Committee (DCC) UK; published student authors; along with other Government officials and representatives from the Grenada Co-operative Bank (Bank of the Diaspora), will be in attendance.

The Grenada Co-operative Bank is partnering with the (DCC) UK and the Ministry of Education in this event.
