Prime Minister leads Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community Conference

ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, March 10, 2014 - GIS:
Prime Minister Dr. The Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell is leading a delegation to the 25th Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

On Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Mitchell will be leading the charge for the advancement of the regional agenda for the sustainable development of Information and Community Technology (ICT).

The packed agenda begins with the Opening Ceremony highlighted by remarks from the outgoing Chairman of CARICOM, Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, and remarks by the Incoming Chairman, Dr. The Honourable Ralph E. Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.<

Prime Minister Mitchell is the first presenter on the official conference agenda following the opening ceremony.

Co-leading the Grenada delegation to the Conference is Minister of Health, Honourable Dr. Clarice Modeste-Curwin. Other delegates are Dr. Patrick Antoine, Ambassador to CARICOM, and Mr. Ken Sylvester, CEO of the Caribbean Knowledge and Learning Network.

The Conference runs for two days, March 10-11th, at which time the delegation returns to Grenada.
In the absence of Prime Minister Mitchell, Deputy Prime Minister, Honourable Elvin Nimrod will be the Acting Prime Minister.
