Beausejour, Carriacou, June 6, 2014- A Day of Prayer on Friday, June 20th, 2014 is being planned by the Division of Youth within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs in collaboration with members of the religious community.

Project Officer in the Division of Youth Linton Lendore said that they are seeking to foster a closer working relationship with the religious community; in an effort to build the spiritual side of the young people here.

Lendore along with other youth officers recently met with pastors and representatives from the different denominations; who he said have expressed keen interest in working along with the Division; therefore the “Day of Prayer” will be the beginning of a series of activities.

At present over 200 young people in Carriacou and Petite Martinique are involved in the new Imani program, Lendore said they are looking at different ways to engage them meaningfully.

Other activities being planned by the Youth Division is a “Youth Parliament” carded for June 27th which will focus on the constitutional reform process.
