Belair Pond cleared of water lilies

Beausejour, Carriacou, February 18, 2014-The Belair Pond is now cleared of water lilies.After almost three weeks of hard work by agricultural workers attached to the Belair Nursery; the pond is now back to its original look.

Located adjacent to the Belair Nursery, the pond is a main source of water on the island especially in the dry season.

Yvonne Samuel, District Agricultural Officer in the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs said one of the focus of the Division of Agriculture is to ensure that there is a constant supply of water especially for the farming community.
