New Vehicle for Carriacou Police Station

Beausejour, Carriacou, February 13, 2014- Officers attached to the Northern District- Carriacou Police Station have been equipped with a new vehicle.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Legal Affairs, Labour, Local Government and Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs Hon. Elvin Nimrod handed over keys to the vehicle to Inspector Richard Langdon.

Minister Nimrod noted that this will aid in the police delivering an efficient and effective service, as they work towards keeping the twin isle parish safe. He said the vehicle is one of four that was recently presented to the Royal Grenada Police Force.

Inspector Landgon expressed appreciation to the Government of Grenada and Acting Commissioner of Police Winston James for providing the station with the new vehicle, which he says is an essential tool for the carrying out of their duties.

The handing over ceremony was also attended by a number of officers and members of the Citizens Advisory Body.
Meanwhile, Minister Nimrod announced that soon the Lauriston Airport will receive a new fire tender.
