ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, February 3, 2014 – GIS: It is with a deep sense of sadness and loss that the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development extends sympathies to the families of our three students who passed away at the beginning of the year. As a ministry, we hurt with you as your loss is also ours.

Kelisa Alexander, 11, student of the St. John’s Roman Catholic School; Denroy Ruffin, 14, student of the Grenville Secondary School; and Nelson Chitan, 18, student of the Grenada Christian Academy. The presence of these students will be greatly missed, in their homes as well as in their classrooms.

The Ministry of Education, through the counseling department, will provide support in the hope that it will help make these difficult days more manageable. May God be with you as you grieve the loss of your loved ones.

The Ministry also remembers the students who were injured in a vehicular accident in St. Mark’s on Monday 27th January 2014. The five students from the St. Mark’s Secondary School and one from Mac Donald College are in our prayers.
