Grenada's Tourism Minister attends OECS Council of Tourism Ministers in Dominica

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, April 24, 2014 – GIS:
Grenada’s Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture, the Hon. Alexandra Otway-Noel, is currently on the Island of Dominica attending the 12th Meeting of the OECS Council of Tourism Ministers.

The one-day meeting is aimed at discussing important matters to increase tourist arrivals in the sub-region.

Key areas of focus are:

  • Methods to alleviate travel within the OECS;
  • The need for joint representation of the OECS at International Boat Shows;
  • OECS Argo-Tourism;
  • Cooperation between the OECS and the UN World Tourism Organisation and
  • Community-based Tourism Development in the OECS.

Minister Otway-Noel is expected to be back in state on Friday, April 25.
