ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST, 24, 2011:  The general public is hereby reminded that August 29th, 2011 is the final day for the payment of property tax for the year 2011 without incurring penalty and interest.

Taxpayer should recall that in June 2011 an intensive campaign was launched to encourage payment on or before June 30th, 2011 to capitalize on the 5% rebate. Further because of the fire at the Grenville Revenue Office, a further extension was given for persons paying their taxes in Grenville.

The Inland Revenue is again urging the general public to take advantage of the remaining period to settle their accounts and avoid any penalties, as no further extensions will be granted.
Payments may be made at the Inland Revenue Division main office, the VAT Unit located at the corner of Young and Scott Streets, or any district revenue office throughout Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
The Division in an effort to achieve maximum voluntary compliance is encouraging all taxpayers to communicate with us, any difficulties or queries that they may have as it relates to payment of property taxes including arrears, valuation of properties or any other property related issues, so that the appropriate advice can be given or solution can be found.
For more information, property owners may contact the Inland Revenue Division at 440-3556, 435-1906 or 435-6853; Persons may also email the Division at gndird@spiceisle.com or visit our website at www.irdgrenada.com for further details.
