Prior to his appointment as Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of ICT, Mr. Jeffrey served as a teacher for twenty-seven years, before he was assigned to the Ministry of Education as Institutional Strengthening Officer. In April 2018, he was appointed Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education.
He holds a Bachelor of Education degree with honours in Educational Administration from the University of the West Indies, and a Master of Science degree with distinction in International Human Resource Management from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Mr. Jeffrey is a member of the Board of Directors of the Grenada Cultural Foundation and the Grenada museum. He was also a trade unionist and served as President of the Grenada Union of Teachers St. Patrick’s Branch and as Second Vice president of the Grenada Union of Teachers.
He is one of Grenada’s most celebrated calypsonians and is the winner of nine Calypso Monarch titles. Presently he is the president of GPACT, one of the Calypso Associations in Grenada and was designated a Cultural Ambassador of Grenada in 2012.
