RESPONSIBILITY OF MINISTRY OF FINANCE
The Ministry of Finance, in pursuit of its mission, has a wide mandate with responsibility for:
* Budgeting
* Debt management
* Resource mobilization
* Cash management
* Tax administration
* Supporting decision-making processes in the public and private sectors

The Ministry’ s role brings the organization into contact with all Ministries, Government departments and sectors in society.  The Ministry’s operations are the subject of several laws and regulations including the Finance and Audit Act (governing budgetary operations and debt management).

 

STRUCTURE OF MINISTRY OF FINANCE, PLANNING AND INDUSTRY
The Minister of Finance, Planning and Industry exercises general control and direction.  The administrative head of the Ministry is the Permanent Secretary.  There is also a deputy Permanent Secretary.

 

The Ministry is divided into the following departments
