Friday, July 28, 2017 10:48 PM- George's, Grenada

ST. GEORGE, GRENADA, JULY 28, 2017, GIS: The Public is hereby advised that Prime Minister of Grenada, Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, through the generous donations of several of Grenada’s Honorary Consuls and Ambassadors abroad, has embarked on an initiative to provide school bags and other basic school supplies to  thousands of students throughout the length and breadth of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

The 10,000 Backpacks, which have been commissioned, are currently in the final stages of manufacturing and expected to be shipped to Grenada by Air Cargo in two batches: one on August 3rd and the other on August 8th.

This would ensure that students receive the Bags before the start of the new school year in early September.

The public will be advised on the dates for distribution, once the bags have arrived in Grenada.

Parents and caregivers, especially those needing extra assistance in securing school supplies, are asked to take note accordingly.
