ST. GEORGE, GRENADA, AUG. 3, 2017: There is more evidence of the success of the Imani programme as employment numbers continue to increase among those who have benefitted from the paid internship exercise.

Between January and June 2017, 121 IMANI trainees gained permanent employment, according to remarks made at a presentation by Sen. Pamela Moses, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Religious Affairs.

During a meeting of the Upper House of Parliament, Sen. Moses said 50 of the 121 trainees gained employment in March 2017.

“One hundred and twenty one, in total, and this is quite important,” Senator Mosses said.

“This tells, clearly, that there are quite a large number of our young people, who are being considered for permanent employment and are actually gaining this permanent employment, basically in areas like customer service, general office administration, commercial food preparation, bar and waitressing.”
