Facebook Removes Fake Account in PM Mitchell’s Name Offering Low Interest Loans

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, 7th October, 2016 –GIS:  A fake facebook account in the name of Grenada’s Prime Minister Dr. the Rt. Hon.  Keith Mitchell has been taken down.

Facebook has removed the account after persons raised the alarm to the popular social networking site that the page was not authentic.

The name on the account was Keith Claudius Mitchell and persons on the friend list were told that Prime Minister Mitchell just got money from an international organization and was offering loans at three percent.

Persons on the friend list were also told that they have between one and 50 years to pay back the loans and that anyone will qualify.

Persons visiting the fake facebook account were also asked questions about the state of government and investors.

This is not the first time that facebook has had to removed fake accounts in the name of Prime Minister Mitchell.

Persons are being asked to exercise caution going forward as the perpetrators may continue to establish these accounts.
