ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, March 16, 2015 - GIS: Prime Minister Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell on Friday, March 13, handed over 20 desktop computers to the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Winston James.

At the Handing over, Prime Minister Mitchell expressed how happy he was to be able to finally deliver on a promise he made to the RGPF last year.

According to the Prime Minister, “these 20 computers are only a dent in meeting the technological needs of the security forces and bringing our operations in line with the modern demands of the job.”

Dr. Mitchell promised that although there is still a long way to go in computerizing every department, government is steadfast in its determination to ensure that workers are given the tools to perform in every area.”

In receiving the donation, Commissioner James expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Royal Grenada Police Force, stating that the computers “would go a long way in aiding the administrative and technological functions of the Force.”

The Commission promised that all the departments under the RGPF will receive at least one.

The computers were a donation secured by the Minister of National Security, Dr. Keith Mitchell, and sourced by Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Denis Antoine.
