Kick 'EM'Jenny continues to remain inactive

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Friday July 31, 2015 - NaDMA -The Seismic Research Centre (SRC), University of the West Indies, continues to monitor the Kick-‘EM’-Jenny under water Volcano in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA), whose responsibility it is to provide timely updates to the general public.

Since 6:00 p.m., on Saturday July 25th, to present, no activity was recorded at the site, which confirms that the recent eruption has ended.

The Government of Grenada wishes to advise that the alert level for the Kick-‘EM-Jenny under water Volcano remains at YELLOW, which means that vessels should strictly observe a 1.5 km exclusion zone. However, as a precautionary measure, vessels should continue to observe the 5 km exclusion zone.

Please be reminded that official advisories on this matter, and all other disaster related matters will come directly from the National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA).
