Minister Pierre extends best wishes to Grenada's National Under-23 Team

ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, July 20, 2015 - GIS: Honourable Emmalin Pierre, Minister of Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs, extend best wishes to Grenada's National Under-23 Netball team as they participate in the 2015 OECS/ECCB Under-23 Netball Tournament, held in St. Kitts from 18th to 22nd July.

The Minister is hopeful that the team will emerge victorious under the capable stewardship of the GNA President, Mrs. Glynis Roberts, and the captaincy of Cecile Roberts.

Speaking on behalf of the entire Ministry, Honourable Pierre recognized and expressed encouragement to the full squad that will be representing Grenada:

5. Shakera Fortune
6. Tifanny Frederick
7. Britanny Jones
8. Tonya Mc Farlene

Best wishes were also extended to the Manager, Mr. Keith Williams, and coaches Kathy-ann Gabriel and Oberon "Nattie" Peterson.

Also traveling with the team is Physiotherapist Adeltrude Griffith and Umpire Nadine Lett.

Minister Pierre and her staff are optimistic that the team will perform well, and they applaud the tireless efforts of the President and her staff in helping to restore the team, and the sport to prominence.

Grenada last won the tournament in 2010, and has captured the title 3 times since 1991.
