ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, August 25, 2015 –GIS: Cabinet has appointed a Sub-Committee of ministers to find a solution to the problems posed by the accumulation of Sargassum seaweed, which is affecting countries across the Caribbean.

The Sub Committee comprises Health Minister Hon. Nickolas Steele, Works Minister Gregory Bowen, Tourism Minister Yolande Bain-Horsford, and Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture Alvin Da Breo.

A health assessment was done, and it was determined the stench is coming from hydrogen sulphide

They have done an analysis of the situation..ministry of heaklth agric and parl reps are aware.
The sargassum issue is a Caribbean wide one…meeting in Barbados headed by uwi on aug 17th.
