ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, 24th November – Ministry of Youth, Sports, & Religious Affairs: Grenada’s Minister of Youth, Sports, and Religious Affairs, Hon. Emmalin Pierre, extends congratulations Lewis Hamilton for winning his second Formula 1 (F1) World Championship with a comfortable victory in the season ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday.

Hamilton who is of Grenadian decent is only the 4th British national to win two world titles.

He last won a World Championship in 2008 becoming, at the time, the youngest ever F1 World Champion.

In that same year, he visited Grenada and addressed the 34th Independence Anniversary Celebrations as the Guest of Honour.

Hon. Emmalin Pierre extends congratulations to Lewis, on behalf of the Government of Grenada, sporting enthusiasts, the people of Grand Roy, and all Grenadians. She notes that because he is constant in seeking to achieve new heights, he no-doubt has new goals in sight.

She therefore wishes him continued success.
