Beausejour, Carriacou, November 3, 2014- Residents of the Top Hill Senior Citizens Home should be in their new facility by year end.

With 60% of the works completed; Contractor Bernard Lendore of Lendore Construction said that work is now being done on the installation of the windows and doors, the interior among other things.

The project, part of the Basic Needs' Trust Fund Sixth Programme, is funded to the tune of EC$1.3 million from the Caribbean Development Bank; the Government of Grenada is providing counterpart funding for the project.

The Top Hill Senior Citizens Home which is presently housed at the Nurses Hostel in Belair presently provides accommodation for seventeen (17) residents.

The Government of Grenada supports the home’s operations by providing a subvention and therefore views the reconstruction of the Top Hill Senior Citizens Home as part of fulfilling its social responsibility.
