High Powered Government Delegation On Diaspora Visits

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, May 13, 2014 – GIS: A high level delegation of government ministers, led by Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, leaves Grenada early Saturday for visits to diaspora communities in North America.

The delegation, which includes Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Elvin Nimrod, Minister of Health, Hon. Clarice Modeste, and Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Peter David, will make three stops in North America.

They will hold town hall meetings with the diaspora communities in New York, Montreal and Toronto.

The Prime Minister is also expected to meet with a number of potential and existing investors to explore or solidify investment opportunities for Grenada.

In the absence of Prime Minister Mitchell and Deputy Prime Minister Nimrod, Hon. Gregory Bowen will serve as Prime Minister as well as Minister of Legal Affairs.

Trade Minister - Hon. Oliver Joseph will serve as Minister of Finance, and Youth and Sports Minister - Hon. Emmalin Pierre will serve as the Minister of Health and Social Security.

The delegation returns to Grenada on June 10th.
