Prime Minister attends engagements in Barbados, Montreal and St. Vincent

ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, Friday, March 07, 2014 - GIS: Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell left Grenada on Friday morning, for a series of engagements in Barbados, Canada and St. Vincent, before returning on Tuesday, March 11th.

Prime Minister is schedule to attend the Regional Security System meeting in Barbados on Friday; after which he goes on to Montreal.

In Montreal, Prime Minister will attend the gala celebration in recognition of 50 years of community activism of distinguished Grenadian, Mrs. Gemma Raeburn-Baynes. Prime Minister Mitchell will deliver the feature address in the joint recognition of Mrs. Raeburn-Baynes and International Women’s Day.

The Prime Minister will also join our Grenadian Diaspora community in Montreal in commemorating Grenada’s 40th Anniversary of Independence.

On Monday, March 10th, Prime Minister leads a delegation to the CARICOM Inter-Sessional Meeting, at which he leads the ICT agenda.

In the absence of Prime Minister Mitchell, the Deputy Prime Minister, Honourable Elvin Nimrod will be the Acting Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell returns to Grenada on Tuesday, March 11th.
