Beausejour, Carriacou, April 11th, 2014-
Five months before its scheduled completion date, work is progressing steadily on the reconstruction of the Top Hill Senior Citizens’ Home.

The project, part of the Basic Needs’ Trust Fund Sixth Programme, is funded to the tune of EC$1.3 million from the Caribbean Development Bank.

The Government of Grenada is providing counterpart funding for the project. Work is being spearheaded by Bernard Lendore's Construction.

The Top Hill Senior Citizens’ Home is one of two such facilities on the island; it’s now housed at the Nurses’ Hostel, opposite the Princess Royal Hospital in Belair.

The Grenada Government, which supports the home’s operations by providing it with a subvention, views the reconstruction of Top Hill Senior Citizens’ as part of fulfilling its social responsibility.
