Hillsborough, Carriacou, June 18th, 2012- An inspirational church service was held to commence the celebration of Public Service Week 2012 in Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
The service held at the Hillsborough Evangelical Church was attended by a wide cross section of public servants on the island.
Pastor Junior McNeil of the Evangelical Faith reminded them that are part of an important team; charged with the serious responsibility of making the country prosper.
He implored about all present to place God central in everything they do; and they must serve with passion, as their contributions are vital for Grenada’s success.
Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs Benson Patrice was moved by the church service, which was also filled with uplifting singing by the Evangelical Worship Team.
He said from time to time, the various Ministries should host a praise and worship event.
Public Service Week is being observed from June 17 -23rd. Other activities include a health walk in collaboration with the Northern Cops Fitness Club and Public Officers can cook mixed with sports and a cultural extravaganza
