An examination of the role education can play in preventing young people from engaging in behavior which could lead to the contraction of HIV and AIDS was one of the topics discussed at a forum in St. George’s on Friday.
The roundtable event, held at the National Stadium, was sponsored by the United Nations Development Fund for Women or UNIFEM.
The focus was on what organizers described as gender-responsive strategies for HIV prevention. The ultimate objective, they say, is to ensure the country’s education and health capabilities are fully utilized to lower the occurrences of HIV transmission among Grenadian youth.
