ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, TUESDAY, March 9, 2010: The Inflation Rate for January 2010 is -1.90%.
Compared with January 2009 when the inflation rate was 4.74%, the January 2010 rate is considered a significant reduction. This reduction resulted mainly from a decrease in the prices of food (including non-alcoholic drinks); clothing, footwear and accessories; and medical care and health services.
The Ministry of Finance remains committed to the publication of monthly updates on inflation in Grenada, as part of its drive to improve public education and financial literacy.
